1. Permissioned Exchange | Contributor Credits (current stage)
Goal: Test value propositions
Value proposition: Simple, extendable infrastructure for compliantly issuing investment products, and compensating contributors to projects.
Targets:
- DAOs with token-holding investors
- Real Estate Syndicators
- Coop Patronage programs
- Corporate employee incentive programs
2. Business ownership & control | Generalized business agreement infrastructure
Goal: Capture the center of business ownership / lay groundwork for governance features
Value proposition:
- Further reduced cost and friction associated with launching and funding a business
- Abstract the incorporation process for projects that grow to need it (Ideally by linking business registration with NFTs)
- Offer a faster, more flexible agreement paradigm though ‣, which reduce the need for traditional contracts
Checkpoint: Here we will focus on scaling the business created in Stages 1 and 2, and expanding its offerings to larger, more profitable customers.
3. Governance
Goal: Capture business governance in order to integrate it with smart contracts. This allows projects to create flexible, self-enforcing contracts across many aspects of the business.
Value proposition:
- Create more sophisticated governance structures that include more stakeholders (offer templates for well-researched models like Sociocracy and Holacracy)
- Safely invest in and govern projects, across borders, without relying on governments to enforce contracts
- Decentralize control of businesses
Checkpoint: Stages after this point are obviously aspirational, but they illustrate our ambitions
4. Inter-project ventures
Goal: Let organizations interact with each other through agreements that are enforceable within the platform
(note for clarity: the idea here is basically to make it possible for projects to stake their assets on agreements with other kinds of businesses and to offer conflict resolution mechanisms that users trust to decide whether a party has breached an agreement)
Value proposition:
- Access to financial services, such as lending, not only within the platform, but across the larger blockchain ecosystem
- The ability to create large, high-value joint ventures where parties need protection against other parties withdrawing
- The ability to form holding companies, or other large organizations, that own or control smaller organizations
- High-speed, borderless, conflict resolution
5. Fully decentralize Cooperativ
Goal: Transition ownership and control of Cooperativ from Sunshine Labs and to its users.
Value proposition:
- The ability users to participate democratically in the governance of an economy on which they depend
